Ink
Tetovaa
I have a few tattoos. If you define "a few" as meaning "over 60 hours under the needle". The series of pages behind this link show off the ink I have, and give details as to what they represent, their meaning, the time it took to get them, and the ideas behind them.
The tatoos currently listed (all that I currently have) are: Right leg, Back, Ribs, Left shoulder, Right shoulder, Chest & upper arms.
I'm often asked "where do your design ideas come from?" This series of images shows the progression of my back tattoo from the first sketch of a trilobyte, taken from a zoology book, to the final product, in all it's glory, on my back. It shows how sometimes the design changes radically from one step to the next, and how, at other times, there are only minor adjustments.
Ah yes... the ultimate question: "Why do you get tattoos?" A few years ago, a member of a usenet group I frequented asked the readership to explain why they got body modifications (tattoos, piercings, etc.) with the intent of publishing them on his site. This is my contribution. While it was written quite a while ago, and many things have changed in my life and my perspectives, what I wrote still holds true. And that's rather reassuring.
A simple FAQ that covers most of the questions I'm asked--both about my specific tattoos, and about tattooing in general.
